ANSI C11 standardized threads with threads.h, but unfortunately glibc doesn't implements it, musl have it already written.
What are pros and con about switching to glibc (default on most linux distros) to musl?
And, socket are not standard really? No way to write c software with standard library, right?

glibc (or a clib compatible with glibc) already exists on all NIX-like OSes, which means that compilers simply rely on it already existing and have it as a shared library (aka it's dynamically loaded by the loader when you start your executable). I'm not sure musl is preexisting.

If you need sockets, then use them. If you don't, then try to write as portable as possible.
