>tfw have to spend $100 on outdated and overpriced DDR3 because my 4790k is no where close to being outdated and ram prices have skyrocketed
fuck, any of you /g/oyim have a problem like this before?
>>59267921
just don't buy
I only spent 30 bucks on used 1333 8gb ram
>>59267938
Not an option, 8gb is hopelessly outdated now
>>59267921
Supply and demand, retard. Blame Intel for keeping everyone stuck on DDR3 with their useless babbylake garbage non-upgrades for years.
>>59267921
You should see how expensive DDR2 is these days.
>>59267921
>Not having a job where you can scrounge for parts on PCs about to be thrown out because broken motherboards
Before I knew what was going on, we must have thrown out so many second-gen and up core CPUs and ram. All they would take out is the hard drives to fdisk them. I was even taking out all the fans, even from the psu, to make ghetto coolers for rackmounts
good thing I can use DDR3 ECC memory, which is cheap on ebay
>>59268365
babby lake is DDR4 dumbass
>>59268402
i know, its worse, you can get some chink shit ddr2 on ebay but that stuff is iffy at best and usualy needs to be downclocked
I got these last year, price hasn't changed much.
What has changed, annoyingly is shipping times, I got it in prime times, not this 2 months bullshit.
At least you are not stuck with a 4770k, the only store selling 4790k at a normal price is Microcenter by going to the store.
>>59267921
Fuck me. I have an i5 4590 but because of this I'm not sure if I should upgrade to 4790 or just buy a new gangland mobo
>>59267921
no bought my ram prior to the hike in prices.
m8 of mine wants more than 8gigs, struggling to find any at the 'correct' price.
>>59269013
>99$
picked em up for £50 m8
>>59268329
What the hell are you doing that needs more than 8GB of RAM?
I have 4 gb ddr2 800mhz
I want 8 gb
The particular one with the same timings is 50$
I need a new computer
