What's the point of GraphQL?
I don't get it.
What does "GraphQL is a query language for your API, and a server-side runtime for executing queries by using a type system you define for your data." mean and why is it important?

Bit of a nuisance if you're only building a website but it's a huge timesaver once you're poking at it from multiple clients (web, mobile, native desktop, etc)
At work it made building a mobile client a piece of cake since we already used graphql shit for the main website
