Is it possible to achieve a truly minimalistic windows at all at this point?
Windows 7 is not an answer, as it will never get another service pack, leaving enough updates to weigh down any tiny PC.

Btw, I've been looking at React OS. It seems to be exactly what I want, donated 10EUR to them but I don't expect to ever see anything of it. It's certainly nice for wishful thinking though.
