I don't want this to turn into a console vs PC shitflinging contest and I assume you know more about the topic than the retards over at /v/ so I'm going to ask here. When do you think PS4 and Xbox One emulation will be a thing? Before or after we can emulate previous gen? So many people say that PS4 and Xbone should be easy to emulate due to their x86 architecture, but I don't know if that's true or memes born from ignorance on the subject
I just think the whole field of emulating consoles is pretty cool and interesting and would like to know a bit more how it works and why it's so hard to pull off for certain consoles

Not even Xbox 360 and PS3 emulation are a thing yet. Hell, even PS2 emulation is buggy as shit.

It is true having same architecture will make emulation easier. Microsoft is already very easily porting xbox games to windows store and both companies pay various mmo developers to port their game to console which is also done with relative ease. All thats needed is for someone with enough inside knowledge to leak things
