Edit the hosts file on Windows 10 with a huge MVPS hosts file. Then Windows 10 overwrites and resets it. What is the point? Is there a way to lock this file after changing it?

Would this work?Right click on hosts file go to properties.
Go to the Security tab.
Under Groups and users go to the System and edit permissions.
Deny write permissions for the System.
Press OK and Done.
