Few months ago, I've bought a notebook. I wanted it to be a PC replacement, so I could use Photoshop, Lightroom, and play some World of Warcraft or less demanding games. I had no fucking idea about notebooks, that's why I've bought Acer with GTX 960M and i7-6700hq. It was okay, screen was great before dead pixels, but oh boi, that overheating and build construction. It was cheaper than other 960m laptops with the same CPU, meh. Now I am wondering what the hell can I do with it. I'm yuropoor, so I won't buy another one. I was wondering about Changing the chasis or making a mini PC build of it, because most of the issues are caused by CPU being 80-95 degrees hot all the time. Any tips for the lost cause?
and the fuckin screen keeps dimming & lowering it contrast while the image is dark. I mean, I tried everything - regedit, changing power plan, changing Intel GPU power plan (disabling "adaptive brightness" on battery/plugged and whatnot) and nothing. So any tips would be appreciated.
And this fucker's model is acer vn7-592g (nitro black edition fucking meme)

screen dimming sounds like some kind of "dynamic contrast" and you sound like a newfag from /v/

Clean the laptop and get a laptop cooling mat.

Did you REALLY adjust the power management settings?

>falling for the i7 meme
LMAO, yeah those overheat like shit.
t. i5 6300HQ 960m never getting above 60C
Anyway, I think you are dimming is just PWM?? That's a feature, not a bug :^)
