because ubuntu is snapshot based, not rolling, so you're supposed to reinstall not upgrade

you think you have it bad? my thinkpad just stop supplying power to usb devices after about an hour so i dont get a choice to even use it once it happens unless i reboot

it doesnt matter what OS, it just stops supplying any power, and therefore no connectivity
