For the life of me I can't find anything about how fast a USB read and write speeds need to be for a solid Live/Persistence USB.
(Thinking of Manjaro and Kali to start with).
Help me /g/?!
Literally doesn't matter

Make it dump the OS to RAM if you've got enough of it (I don't have experience with Manjaro or Kali, only Porteus and TAILS though)

Virtually nothing. The binaries of applications are quite small and not usually constantly loaded and re-loaded, plus applications don't usually constantly read/write data either.
But hey, always nice to have everything on SSD and fast USB 3 sticks if you got money.
There's the odd situation where you want to clone or backup everything and such, and maybe you can save a minute or two then.
