>buy intel 7600k
>temps are shit
>have to jew out $75 on a good aftermarket cooler
>temps still shit
>intel jewed out on the TIM and I have to delid it
>have to spend $20 on an aftermarket delidding kit
>oh and $7.80 on a tube of replacement TIM, plus tip :^)
>have to spend $50 on a vice grip to hold cpu
>finally get all my equipment
>delid CPU and install into motherboard
>CPU bends and breaks because aftermarket coolermaster giganigga 9000 BBC edition was too heavy
>intel cheaped out on the substrate too
>mfw i should have just bought a ryzen which comes with a soldered IHS, THICC substrate, wraith cooler, and jim keller BWC technology
>Jim Keller BWC technology
Something else is ryzen at AMD...
All memes aside why the fuck can't Intel solder their chips so I don't have to delid. Getting sick of this meme.

Most retarded thread of the year award
i have a 6600k and a 7700k and have had no issues with temps. they never even go past 40c
both my computers have NZXT krakens though, so if youre using aircooling lol@u

Top kek
At least this shitposting is hilarious.
>falling for the delidding meme
As cheap as Intel is, there's literally no reason to delid. Getting your CPU to run .5687°C cooler won't increase its lifespan by that much, or increase the ability to overclock by any noticable amount. You're just risking breaking your autism chip.

die size intel is utilizing on their mainstream platform are to small. not enough surface area to properly fuse to the heatspreader. resulting in micro fractures after X amount of times of high temps -> low temps and vice versa from the pressure of the heatspreader.
you need a certain size to prevent fracturing. around the ~230mm mark.

more like 20°C under load

even if it was true with it isnt
it doesn't explain why they use poop and excuse for a thermal compound they use. The only real explanation is because they are jewish as fuck and want to rip you off and nothing more to it.

and why is intel using smaller dies for mainstream platform? increased yields is why. small dies, more cpu's on a single wafer.
intel produces the mainstream platform for high yields, cheaper production cost, higher profit margins. its also why intel shrunk the size of the pcb and abandoned releasing a stock voltage for stock frequencies on their cpus and changed it with a voltage range. having a range allows for increase yields as it opens the doors for more chips to pass. its why you can get a 6700k that only needs 1.1vs for stock 4ghz and another that needs 1.3v's. i know, i had one that needed 1.26vs for 4ghz and another that needed 1.31v's. after returning the second for another my third only needed 1.2v's for 4ghz and 1.3vs for 4.6ghz.

No passthrough. GPU virtualization in 4.10+, please save us.
if you can get your kaby lake cpus to run under 95c you are all good it will be fine

Why don't they use liquid thermal paste then?
Checkmate
>>59213342
Or, you know, you could actually lower the vcore when you overclock the 7600K like I did. Intel set the 7600K's default voltage stupidly high for some reason.
inb4 you broke your cpu on delid
>>59213342
>Top left pic, cpu bent
that is fucking horrifying, how the fuck do you even do that?
>>59213508

Now they're bringing it back as an upgrade, the few microns of gold and other metals had nothing to do with why they went with TIM, NOTHING!!!!
>>59213358
I read the paper, they put all their focus on reducing the gold content. 0 attempts of using a more suitable solder.

That won't happen because a "heavy" heatsink, it will happen when you use the wrong screws and screw it too hard so the cpu of course will bent.
