I get a new laptop every five years or so, so I tend to get about the best one I can find that isn't a gazillion dollars. I have narrowed it down to these two:
ASUS ROG GL502VM-DS74 (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834234455)
ASUS ROG GL502VS-DS71 (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834234458)
They're basically the same, 7th-gen i7 and so on, just one has a nVidia 1060 and one a 1070. The price delta is $200. I don't really plan to use the laptop for gaming, but more for taking on the road for business. But like I said, I keep laptops a long time and I don't want to have the graphics be unusable in 2 years either.
Which would you get, and am I retard for not picking a different laptop that you approve of?
Forgot to add, I would also use it for CAD work and possibly LabVIEW programming stuff.

Just get an ultrabook and invest in an eGPU enclosure
