very impractical considering current sequencing methods first need you to multiply the dna by a lot. maybe if Oxford's nanopore gets a breakthrough.

also, dna is speculated to be used as an "archiving" storage medium (hundreds of terabytes of data in a few grams of DNA), not practical for constant "read"/"write" operations
