I was an AMD shill until now.
If the 7700k pricedrop is effective, it'll be the best deal for everyday usage.
1800x can't go past 4.1GHz. The XFR turbo is actually the maximum this chip can do. In order to get past 4.1GHz on a single core, you have to feed the chip 1.4V or more, and everything becomes unstable.
If the 7700k gets below 300$ I'll buy.
Holy shit i'm dissapointed.

KYS and leave a letter where you admit your mistakes and promise to never doubt Intel again in your next life.
It's your only option.
:(
At least i'm getting a p-price drop for the 7700k..

AMD fanboys are like battered wives. They keep coming back for more and thinks AMD loves them and is good for them.

>1700x needs more than 1.4V to go past 4.2ghz
Isn't this the case with all modern cpus on the market?

4770k gets to 4.5 at 1.35.
i7 7700k with 1080ti is going to be the best

The thing is that the 1800x simply wont stabilize past 1.4V.
And no the 7700k reaches 5GHz at 1.3V

Why are you buying an i7 for gayming?
>>59200133
be sure to sign it in poo

I'm occasionally doing some 4k PP/AE projects. But with the dissapointing gayming perfs, the shitty L3 cache and whatever to be expected issue from a brand new chipset/socket/architecture, the 7700k feels safer.
