What I need is pacman, which is faster and more efficient than apt. Also, the AUR. Say what you want about the AUR, but it sure beats hunting for ppa's.

Also, user-centrality > user-friendliness. The problem with user-friendly distros like Ubuntu is that, in an effort to make simple things like doing everything with a GUI easier for the user, what's under the hood is a lot more complex and more difficult to configure/manage.
