The whole Alphabet/Google thing and how they manage to cover theirs costs by just collecting and selling data is scary as fuck. It's not just storage for some shitty videos.
The operational cost for all the data centers, building those data centers, bandwidth, peering, staff, etc. ... I have no clue how many millions a month that are.
And then they have their little fun projects like laying new submarine cables every now and then like "Haha, lel, well thats just 200 million for a trans-pacific cable so why not, right?"
