So im currently running windows 10 and Im thinking about changing to linux. I had ubuntu in mind but is there a better distro?

I would choose Kubuntu but idk if they managed to fix plasma (it was buggy as fuak)

First there was debian.
Then ubuntu, which was like a good debian.
Unfortunately ubuntu lost it's way and sold it's soul to amazon.
Luckily, a better ubuntu had already appeared. This was linux mint cinnamon.
At this point the creator of debian killed himself.
Mark Shuttleworth is currently on suicide watch.
