I'll be going to China in a few days, what vpn should I get?
>Looking to pay around 10 euros a month
>I'd prefer unlimited data.
>Good security
>Reasonable speed, don't need to stream YouTube necessarily.
>And 2 devices I can use with it
Any tips and/or experience
Just spin up a server on AWS or GC with
https://github.com/jlund/streisand
You control everything and it gives you plain english instructions on setting up your client.
Better than having some random college boys scraping your unencrypted data, sharing IPs with bots and limiting your throughput.
tunnelbear works perfectly well in mainland China
Whatever you do, have a backup plan. Would be shitty to get over there and not be able to research or setup new services.
just use any vpn, tunnel traffic over SSH
(yes, i have done it before, pic related)

I work in China 6 out of every 12 months. At the universities where I stay they have started blocking VPN just this last year. Places like SHJTU that are basically international schools that only do student exchanges with foreigners. So good luck.
