are these good temps for my 6600k?
it hasn't gone above 50c yet at 100% cpu, and it's just using an air cooler
>>59164456
>trusting speccy for temps
Use CoreTemp or HWiNFO instead

This
>>59164456
yeah that's pretty good, assuming stock clocks/voltage
here's my 4790k under load with an nh-d14
>>59164518
okay
>>59164560
stock voltage yeah
quick question: how much do you OC your 6600k and at what voltage?
I have a hard time maintaining full clock speeds during stress testing anything past 4.3ghz, and if I up the voltage then it gets really fucking hot really quickly
>>59164605
4.3 ain't much for skylake
what's your default voltage and what do you have it set at now?
>>59164605
what cooler? I'm using a 212 evo and I haven't messed with the voltage at all. It's been getting shown temps at stock volts. (4.4ghz)

I'm not at my desktop, and I can't remember the numbers off the top of my head, but I found that I'm ok if I stay at 4.3 with auto voltage in my mobo settings. I have a z97 MSI so i'm fairly certain it should be ok for overclocking

I have a noctua u9s. temps are like the OP at stock voltage
I haven't gotten any errors or what-have-you when running Prime95 at stock voltage at 4.4GHz, for instance, but when monitoring in hwmonitor the clock speeds do not stay at a constant 4400 MHz. they drop down to 4000 even.

>Z97
>6600k
what?
>>59164717
I'm retarded, 170.
>>59164456
Looks good but temps depend on the benchmark quite a lot. Linpack or prime will make it hotter than others.
Btw, did you notice that the graph on Task manager is calculating the load based on stock clock. You can test with other cpu meters like Process explorer. It's unbelievable they haven't fixed it yet and that no one is talking about it.
>>59164456
Are you even retarded? I have processor running at 90C for 5 yrs straight sometimes throttling at 100% when vents gone of and still no sign of wear.
