Maybe you need the "reminder" box
Also nice PCIe lanes!
>>
>>59150032
This is Zen though. The fact that AMD screwed up with Bulldozer allowing intel to completely Jew out will mean that an actual competetive processor like Ryzen is going to hit Intel ten times harder.
>>
>>59150032
You clearly have.
The bulldozer leaks showed it to be hot garbage, and the defense squad was out saying shit like
B...but it's only a engineering sample
T..T..the leaks are fake

Basically all the shit that intel shills are saying now.

Pretty much all the benchmarks showed Bulldozer was hot trash from the start. Every single benchmark has shown Ryzen competitive in the market the R7 is aimed at (content creators, workstations and streamers). It's lacking in the gaming performance but that's R5's job. I'll freely criticize AMD if R5 doesn't clock higher than R7, sure.

Anyways the #1 rule of investing is that past performance doesn't indicate future performance, so putting a graph back to 1978 is only good for memes

0/10 you don't even know how to read stocks.

let me sum it up for:
>Intel = investment grade stocks, actually pays the stock holders dividends because they know how to make money

>AMD a step up from penny stocks, never pay dividends because they suck at making money. Over 30 years barely managed to double in value.

5.2ghz sounds like a ridiculous overclock.

If I'm not willing to overclock, is this a chip that can replace my i5 3570k with a noticeable speed difference?
>>
>>59154002
It's about five times as fast as the 3570K
>>
>>59154012
what a joke lmao
in single threaded performance they're going to be comparable
in games the difference will be like 10%
it's really a nothingburger if the guy's 3570k is oc'd
>>
>>59154075

Unfortunately, I never got the opportunity to OC mine. I got a defective motherboard, but didn't know the motherboard was causing problems until a few years later, at which point the selection of boards for my CPU and form factor were slim pickins.
>>
>>59154126
well then you will likely benefit significantly from an upgrade IMO, but I'd wait until the R3/R5 chips are out along with real-world benches
>>
>>59151031
I'm going to get 1800x when motherboard suppliers software and hardware have been proven stable, it's literally bleeding edge now and some problem is abound to happen.

>>59155631
what a dumb fucking idea
you do realize these things only go DOWN in value and never up, right?
just wait... jesus christ why is /g/ full of retards
>>
>>59154075
>in single threaded performance they're going to be comparable
It's faster than the 7700K in single threaded performance, so yeah, it is somewhat faster than a 3570K, even if OC'd
>>59155631
/ourgirl/ Lisa Su promised widespread availability on launch day, but with the rumor of preorders already selling out the first batch then it seems kind of impossible for that to happen

Retailers will increase prices if there's enough demand, the 290X/290 is the most notable recent occurence of this
>>59156188
But it literally is, every benchmark so far and everything respetable reviewers under NDA's have said point to that

always down over time, never up
only up over short periods
deal with it 'tardzilla
>>
>>59156273
>just wait! it will eventually be worthless in 30 years :DDDD
Anyways, some unicorn chips don't really go down in value over time, most Extreme Edition Intel's are pretty close to their launch MSRP
>>
>>59156308
>not preordering = waiting 30 years
retard
>>
>>59150080
>amd made 8% just today..

Pretty sure that comes out to less than 16 cents.
>>
>>59156324
You might be waiting until Q3 if demand is as big as it is
First gen Ryzen won't drop in price until Zen+ hits in a year
>>
>>59156354
I'm not suggesting anyone wait in price
I'm suggesting that preordering it is fucking stupid

pros/cons of preordering:
pros:
none
cons:
it's only going to go down in price and will never increase

pros/cons of waiting:
pros:
it's there whenever you feel like buying it and you may possibly save some money
cons:
none

tl;dr: you are fucking stupid
>>
>>59154002
>5.2ghz sounds like a ridiculous overclock.

Well considering that the stock clock on all cpus is around 4ghz nowadays, 5.2 is something around 33% at best, which is far less impressive. The original Celerons went from 300MHz to 700MHz, and even my old Core 2 e6550 could go from 2.3 to 3.15 on stock volts (33%), and up to 3.5 with voltage bumps (50%). Probably could've gone way higher too, but I didn't have fast enough RAM to drive it, or a decent enough cooler.
>>
>>59156372
>want to buy it on launch day

By undercutting AMD, paying blogwriters to not write good things about Ryzen and making exclusive deals with large-volume customers.

Same, the good thing is all the bugs will be squashed, and the next stepping overclocks will be higher or the same with less volts.
