So now that it's been confirmed ryzen has better ipc and runs cooler than kaby lake for less than half the price, why would anybody ever give money to the intel jew again?
Huh? AMD? Isn't that a chinese company thta copies intel parts?
I'll go for the real deal, thanks chinks.
because branding

the same reason grandmas would give geek squad $400 to install drivers
ignorance
>>59148808
Because of the Intel marketing, bribing and shilling campaign that's about to be unleashed. OEMs aren't suddenly going to flock to AMD once Intel start giving them heavy financial incentives not to. Best to lose a few hundred million in the short term than give up your monopoly.
>>59148846
Isn't Intel the company that signs backdoor deals with the government so that they can connect to your processor using cell towers so they can access your hard drive without internet or a wifi-card?
>>59148808
intel will catch up very quickly
their retailers already lowering prices
intel will soon deliver more cores too
intel actually knows how to write software for its hardware unlike AMD
>>59148846
>copies intel parts
Funny, last time I checked every intel cpu was designed to the amd64 isa spec.
>>59148808
You cannot confirm performance of a CPU that hasn't been released yet.
>>59148808
does that processor support 4K Netflix?
>>59148902
I don't think a $10 price drop is going to quite cut it.
>runs cooler than kaby lake for less than half the price
>less than half the price
Ahahahaha, ok.
Last time I checked the prices, the i7-7700K just costs as much as the Ryzen 1700.

When I noticed everyone's Comcast routers let me log in for wifi I immediately thought of this.

source other than Microcenter?
>>59149007
The Ryzen 1700 is running 8 cores with 16 threads. It's competing against high end workstation processors from intel which DO cost a lot more.
I'm also wondering where are people getting this "cheaper" notion from, Ryzen's 1700X is even more expensive than the 7700K on amazon right now.
>>59151678
Are you retarded? 1700X is 8C/16T while 7700K is 4C/8T
>>59148808
Why would I buy that inestable piece of thrash that is going to be Ryzen? It can't event get 4.1 Ghz without BSOD itself
>>59148902
That's microcenter selling out of intel shit before it's worthless compared to AMD shit.

Yeah son I'm retarded and you can't read or english.

Wrong. You can buy Ryzen pretested, with a warranty at 4.2Ghz

s-shut up the 6900k is totally worth $1050 but the Ryzen 7s are total garbage because it gets 3 less fps in my favorite 6 year old video game!!!!

It's probably a pajeet
They do things that just make you scratch your head
>>59151678
In terms of performance it's on better than the 6800k which retails quite a bit higher due to being 6c/12t from Intel.

Just ordered the remaining parts for a R7 1800x build to retire my Phenom II 965 and DDR2 build.
I'm sure glad I listened to everyone's advice back in 2011 and merely bought a dual core processor since "no games or applications use 4 cores" and didn't wind up with an i5-2500k which 4 cores lasted me 6 years instead of buying a shitty dual core that had to be replaced in 2013.
Oh wait, that's not what happened.
I didn't listen to those retards.
Even by 2013 there were games which had a quad core as a minimum requirement. Not recommended, minimum. And so many non-gaymen applications get better than 8x performance from having 8 cores because of how well they scale with HT/SMT.
I hope you fucktards trying to tell everyone to waste $240 on a 7600k have done so yourself. I can't wait to see you 2 years from now trying to justify that "60fps is good enough" because you get bottlenecked on the newer games with its 4 threads.

That's all that matters to me because the only game I play is Kerbal Space Program.
If amd's motto would be "from people for people"
Then intel's would be
from jews for sheep
And these CPU's are clearly going up against Broadwell-E for significantly less.
The 7700k is ahead of R7 CPU's in single threaded tasks, and the same applies to Broadwell-E, but in multi-threaded the R7 lineup tears through the 7700k.
The R7 1700 ($330) costs less than the i7 7700k ($350), and offers more versatility in mutli-threaded tasks at the cost of a bit lower single threading (again, at or around the same level of the Broadwell-E line).
You tell me if you'd rather get the extra 7 FPS in games, or killer performance in streaming, video editing, or other multi-threaded tasks.

AMD still can't bench press high. Needs to do high reps. Lol.
>>59148808
Ryzen is dead on arrival.
It gets assblasted by cheaper Intel processors in both games and desktop usage.
Literally the only reason to buy Ryzen is if you do video encoding all day long.
My girlfriend lives in another city and needs a PC. I'm an AMD fanboy but I told her to buy a prebuild with skylake, because she can't build it herself and kabylake ones are noticeably more expensive

I don't understand why everyone keeps saying Intel btfo
They have owned the marked for years and have had the luxury of putting out shitty predecessors each year because of no competition. What makes you think they don't have many many better iterations they haven't released yet?
The worst that will happen to Intel is they will have to go into their vault and release something they developed years ago a tad bit earlier than expected.
Meanwhile I feel like if AMD fucks this release up it could spell the end of the company.
And to all the people who are preordering this shit already - have you forgot about the 8350 and it's zomg more corezz?
I hope I am proven wrong but lets be realistic here guys.
>>59156690
Yep, preordering is dumb in ANY case unless you shit money out of your ass and don't know what to spend it for.
anyone have a AMD RYZEN high quality logo?, i saw it before but i didnt save it.
just AMD (AMD LOGO) RYZEN
