So, is there any reason whatsoever to indent your code yourself, instead of letting your editor do it for you?
I have a theory: people who argue about tabs vs spaces should get a decent editor.
>decent editor #1 indents as spaces
>decent editor #2 indents as tabs
>programmer #1 uses decent editor #1
>programmer #2 uses decent editor #2
>programmer #1 and programmer #2 both work on the same codebase
>decent editor allows you to decide

Indenting code ? What are you a hipster? Soon you are going to tell me that you use syntax highlighting and a dark background with an editor built with JavaScript.

>company enforces tab indentation
>if you refuse you get fired
Absolutely none. Code formatting discussions are so common here because it's something that anyone can have an opinion on. It requires no skill, no real knowledge.
