Daily reminder that macOS is the best Operating System in 2017 for general tasks and use for 99% of human beings on this planet.
It is unbelievable that Microsofts Marketing Army convinced said 99% that Windows is better for them.
Fully macOS compatible machines that outperform every Apple product can be purchased for a 'windows' price.
Every tech savvy person who doesn't own a hackintosh and still uses Windows is literally retarded and beyond saving.
Only people who do not fall into this category are GNU/Linux users who never fall back to Windows.
Gamers arent worth a mention cause they are the parasites of society.

Linux is better because it's freedom and Mac's are for liberal faggots.

t. Pajeet.
Did Microsoft give your call center new instructions?! Is macOS the new complicated now?!
>>59146320
macOS is Unix based and offers bash terminal, and way more control than windows although windows is finally trying to add this aswell.
In terms of freedom macOS > windows. Of course it offers less than any Linux distro but i have mentioned that in the OP.

>the best Operating System in 2017 for general tasks and use for 99% of human beings on this planet.
General audience wants to play gaems. Now get the fuck outta here.
I think MacOS is better for the average consumer right now, but Microsoft has a better long term vision than Apple does right now. 99% of Windows 10's non botnet related problems are because Microsoft is in the middle of a big transition (mostly switching to UWP and making Windows 10 a more universal operating system for phones, tablets, laptops, desktops, everything else).
>>59146628
>General audience wants to play gaems
no it doesnt. PC Gaming isnt even that popular.
Every "hurr durr the world plays games" article or statistic you will ever see is because it counts every mobile and FB gaming as 'gaming'.
What's the point of hackintoshing? The main appeal of Apple is that once you're completely in the walled garden, everything works together nicely.
Fuck off with your homosexual operating system, nobody wants to use that shit.
>>59146211
>including GNU in the OS name
stop
>>59146957
>>59146896
because you can buy all the components cheap and that are supported and everything still works together nicely ?!
you dont have to buy the EXACT 1:1 components. Its mostly intel based and nowadays even AMD GPUs work just fine cause the MacPro uses an AMD GPU etc.
It gets easier and easier to build a hackintosh that outperforms everything Apple puts out with the same benefits.

no gaemz

you wish
your hipster OS will never have more than 8% market share on desktop in the lifetime of universe
>>59147017
If you want a desktop. Most people want laptops, so hackintoshing isn't a convenient way to get into Apple's ecosystem.
Dunno about how macOS works exactly
Let's say that I have a PC that's compatible with hackintosh, except for facetime and messages. And then also a laptop which seems to work quite well with it (x220). What can I do if both devices have hackintosh? What kind of info can I sync between them? How does this shit work?
I AM HAVING ERRORS
>>59146896
Personally, hackintosh is appealing since it's a pretty decent unix-like OS that can run adobe software as well as linux packages. Really it's just adobe that's holding me back from full linux, I really wish they didn't have a monopoly in the creative industry.
>mac os doesn't have ga-

>compatible with hackintosh, except for facetime and messages
???
It's either compatible or not. read the manual
Also you can sync basically anything that real macs could
>>59146211
is Apple OK with people buying compatible PCs and installing macOS on them?
>>59148980
Technically but unless you go corporate they don't care.
>>59148930
No program on windows comes close to this.
>>59146343
Why wouldn't you go full linux then? It's free and so much less resource intensive.
can you play games like Battlefield?

THEN TAKE THE FIRST STEP AND STOP USING THEIR PRODUCTS YOU MORON
It's not that hard, you know? The alternatives can do the exact same things, only that the buttons are in different places.
>muh industry standard
>>59148944
I mean that the hardware works, but making those two work is a royal pain in the ass. Which I don't care about because I don't personally use em to be honest.
>>59148930
It's a really nice interface, but RetroArch has much better performance overall, as well as options
>>59149436
But it has the same emulators inside
>>59149472
Yeah, I don't doubt that. However it doesn't have dynamic rate control of instance. I tried both emulators with the same cores and I have to say, while RA has this issue where setting it to full screen doesn't allow me to use my other monitor in a multi monitor setup, it runs quite well with plenty of shaders, no frames dropped, no frameskipping, nothing. Smooth as it needs to be.
On the other hand, OpenEmu (and I test this everytime there's a version) gives me some stuttering and frame drops even with genesis games, which shouldn't really be a thing. And that's with any kind of filtering, windowed, fullscreen, on any monitor.
I would pay as much as something like LaunchBox (20 bucks a year from what I've seen) for OpenEmu -if- it performed well and added maybe a tiny few options here and there. Yes, I know, paying for emulation. But still.

this is the only real reason I can't into macOS. How the fuck did they manage to get so bloated?
is this what happens when you keep adding meme features that people never use?(i.e bloat)

Operating systems not designed by hipster morons don't have this problem.
>>59151097
What problem? Having to go into a settings window > clicking on a tab > checking an option > applying changes every single time you want to either hide or show some file at a specific moment? Because that seems like a problem to me. Too slow when I can just do it in a second with three keys.
