Any use for the iGPU if I've already got a GPU?
Feels like wasted die space.

only if you are on a gnu/linux system and want to play vidya with a windows vm or want to stream stuff using your igpu
otherwise its pretty much pointless
shitpost about it on ryzen threads by pretending you've ever used it
>>59111549
There's tons of unused die space in pretty much every microchip

Stop answering if you are a clueless piece of shit for the "first post" meme, retard.
Yes, there are plenty of reasons.
e.g. you can mine on both.

Do I need VT-D for this?
My 3770K doesn't have it, only VT-X.
Once developers become more familiar with dx12, maybe games will be optimized to take advantage of the iGPUs because they can do that?
>>59111549
No.
>>59111565
You can do that with a cheap 2nd GPU if you plan on that extremely specific use case.
>>59111549
save power by taking off the discrete GPU whenever you're not gaming/encoding/rendering/designing giant robot/etc
>>59111549
I've only used mine once for a duration, when my system suffered an odd failure and wouldn't work with a gpu for a month. I changed nothing and put the gpu back in and it worked fine.
Otherwise I would agreee with you, especially given that they allocate almost half the die for it.

it is

judging by how mad you are you haven't used yours either.
Only if you're using a Laptop.
