Just had my first full day usage of my brand new Redmi 4 Pro and this is what it looked like at 2% left. I've gotta say, I'm really fucking impressed with this. Had GPS, mobile data and wifi turned on all the time, brightness at 60%+ and I threw in about 2 hours of pokemon go in there since it's a known battery killer but this thing just doesn't give a fuck. The signal on one of my carriers is also pretty bad at times.

Is there any phone that's not chinkware that I can remove my battery with? I find it harder and harder to find phones like these.

Reason being that I'm probably gonna buy the phone under contract, and the battery built in to these phones isn't going to last me 2 years, guaranteed.

Any decent budget phones for $100 or less new? Looking for unlocked/root. Quick charge and mSD would be huge. Looking to upgrade the kiddos slightly (six of them). Some of the options I was looking at were used deals on OPO phones since I already had two of them. 801 is a solid chipset still imo as is the 805. Trying to stay away from 808/810 as those devices are a walking disaster.

My friend dropped an iPhone 5s into the pool. everything works, but the screen is getting more, and more fadded.

Is there a way to fix this? If I soak the screen is isopropyl alcohol, or distilled water, could that return it back to normal?

Just get Nova launcher and make the icon and text size large, place all the apps needed on the homescreen and hide the app drawer. You can "lock" the launcher so they don't accidentally remove apps from the homescreen.

5" Pixel owner here. Daydream is functional, but worse than I think it would be with the 5.5" screen. The pixels are all very visible, and the headset lets a lot of light in. It's my only complaint so far about an otherwise-perfect phone

They actually used phones in some classes prior to rollout of chromebooks not long ago. Primary reason for the phones is because the waifu. She can check on her ducklings in short order. No ostracizing in social settings for them either. It's a weird sort of compromise (marriage). I'm more of a do it yourself be independent guy and she's big brother. Once they hit middle school they volunteer to work and help out locally and at home. Is there a good app out there for compressing audio played back on your phone to equal levels?

I listen to a lot of different music and some recordings are really old and quiet while others are modern and loud and I like to shuffle them all together while working. The vast differences in volume though can be really off-putting, so I was wondering if an app/music player out there could compress output to an even level during playback.

The camera on the g4+ isso actually only noticeable better if you use manual controls. For auto-mode, the g4 is on pair, tough the + will shine more in low-light.

Depending where you live, the g4+ could have an 4/64 internals, wich would give you an solid phone for some time, while the g4's only offer 2/16 or 2/32.

If you don't mind manual controls on camera, i would only consider the + to get the 4/64 version, or if you really need an fingerprint sensor.

the bezels are too big, LG g6 has small bezel and a big screen to body ratio and it's waterproof. disappointing sony can't do this.

no really standout features, good that they fixed the literally broken panorama that had 2010-tier resolution and terrible seaming. but I wouldn't count that as a feature. there is also slowmo which is cool but it's a gimmick really, it's also recorded in very very low resolution according to the footage shown.

there's no real standout features, if I compare with the g6, it has bigger batteries and smart software features thanks to the big screen to body ratio. the new sony phone is just more of the same and some bug fixes, disappointing.

revenue keeps going down for sony on their mobile segment, it will just keep going that way with their uninspired and outdated phones.

really like my z5 though but I wouldn't get a new xperia because the difference is basically negligible to the z5.

I broke the mic and the 3.5 mm jack on my Z2 and also cracked its back last week.
I want to buy a new phone soon and I've had absolutely no problems with my Z2 in the past 3 years. I only want 3 things in a smartphone, and that's a good screen, a good camera and vanilla android that isn't puke inducing and won't cripple the performance with updates.
