What's a drone that has good distance, height, stability, and is quiet; I don't see much point in getting a drone unless I can pretend to be a secret agent

What do you mean distance and height? Range and flight ceiling? As far as stability goes out really depends, build one yourself and tune it well.

>quiet
No. It'll sound like a swarm of angry bees if it's of any size, or will be a high-pitched whine if the thing's tiny.

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about, I suggest you go do some research and come back.
>>
helicopter and quiet don't go together. but most quality drones can go high enough to where you don't really hear them.

also realtalk is there a single tech reviewer that doesn't seem like a giant shill? im trying to find objective reviews for the DJI mavic and every single one sounds like IGN-tier 10/10posting

doesn't matter if you're following FAA guidelines.
>>

The one you posted seems pretty ideal.

What do people mean when they say "build it yourself"? Hobby-grade motors that offer the right characteristics are pretty rare.
Do you mean use those prebuilt drone bases?

i think its old-school hobbyiests getting mad that prebuilt quadcopters are better bang for you buck than hand-made ones.

Personally I'd love to own a gas powered fixed-wing drone.
Some of them have ranges of 100km and more.
Too bad it's virtually impossible for a hobbyist to use them in Europe.
Not sure if one would ever get caught though.

A guy at my work has a lot of drones and he talks about how much he really likes his dji mavic. FWIW
>>

>quiet
>distance
>height
Not going to happen.
For all of this, in addition to insane flight times, you'd have to go with a fixed wing glider.

I am mad that unenlightened youths are smashing thier dji mac books into everything. Ruining it for those who have it as a hobby.
