helicopter and quiet don't go together. but most quality drones can go high enough to where you don't really hear them.

Personally I'd love to own a gas powered fixed-wing drone.
Some of them have ranges of 100km and more.
Too bad it's virtually impossible for a hobbyist to use them in Europe.
Not sure if one would ever get caught though.
