Phones are neat for taking a quick snapshit. But if you worry so much about image quality you should learn some basic photography.

For nice lighing try to create indirect light with the flash.

New cameras have way higher ISO capabilities than those of 10 years ago. Fast lenses are cheaper too.

Raise your ISO by a reasonable level, not too much to make your shot a grainy piece of shit

Open your aperture as much as possible to let as much light in as possible

Lower your shutter speed to let more light in

Raise the light exposure levels as you wish

Blammo, you now have better lighting in your shots. Cameras nowadays even show you how your settings will affect the lighting of your shots.
