if you love GNU/Linux so much, why don't you use it on your phone?
and no, android using a bastardized, modified version of the kernel doesn't make it GNU/Linux

There's no distro suitable for mobile phones.

>if you love GNU/Linux so much
I do, which is why I don't use a phone in the first place. No bigger contradiction than using Linux and free software while simultaneously having a smartphone in your hand. Even without gapps, a phone can't function without proprietary modules and firmware; not to mention hardware-level backdoors and being locked down in general.

Drivers. Things don't work without them.
There is no such as GNU/Linux.
It's just Linux. Unless you're gong to admit that most of the GNU code is stolen from XEROX.
I don't love Linux, it is a good OS though. I don't run it on my phone because I prefer the QNX based BB10OS.

The fuck job you doing where you can get away with not having a smartphone these days? How much you make?
Drivers. There's too many phones for a team of do it for frees to keep up with. You'd end up either trying to make Android binary blobs work on Linux or having no cell on your phone.

>It's just Linux
>Android doesn't count
Pick one.
OP is right about Android, but if you replace "GNU/Linux" with "Linux" it becomes wrong.

Because it's not very good for mobile, you should use a mobile OS for mobile
