Is it safe to use a free VPN to buy something online?
Specifically, if the site I'm using already has my card information and I connect through a VPN exclusively to finalize the order, that is to say literally click the final confirmation button, do I risk anything?
Amazon.jp won't let me buy their ebooks anymore because I'm a filthy gaijin, and buying a VPN isn't worth it for me.

Even if I don't have to enter any data? I only have to connect, click one button and disconnect, that's it. I'm not an expert but any data about my card or my account shouldn't pass through the VPN server. Or will it?
