Why don't you use waterfox /g/?

>blazing fast
>minimal resource usage
>free and open source
>keeps support for sinking
>keep support for extensions and add ons
>>

>blazing fast
xd my friend
>>
because "32-bit Firefox outperformed 64-bit Waterfox in Peacekeeper browser benchmark tests run by TechRepublic in 2012" according to wikipedia.
>>
IceCat.
>>
It's just a rebranded version of Firefox. Better to use Firefox Nightly and gradually enjoy the benefits from Servo.
>>
>>59097859
It's not Opera 12.16
>>
>>59098103
Nightly is actual placebo and Waterfox isn't. It also removes Mozilla's optional botnet.

The one thing I will say about opera is that it's nice for my laptop with the battery saver feature. I'm not sure If i'd get more battery with another broswer tho

FTFY

It's not accurate though.

It is though.

>>minimal resource usage

I'm not a ThinkPoor user nor am I autistic. My machines resources are there to be used to better the program's operability. I'm not jerking off to Task Manager free RAM space graphs.
>>
Every meme browser that I try has some kind of issue with plugin or codec support. It's almost always the fault of the site's implementation of the media but I'm tired of the "Guess I can't use this site anymore" game.
>>
>>59098224
It's really not. For one, you retards keep using the wrong Opera logo. Secondly, Waterfox belongs in placebo tier.
>>
>>59098239
What would you recommend instead then?
>>
>>59098239
Waterfox doesn't belong in placebo since it's the best Firefox fork. Second, there's no way to get the new opera logo.
>>
>>59098225
So... Waterfox is not a botnet? YAY!

Nah

You're dumb.
>>
>>59098296
I wasn't that poster. Anyway I meant what browser
>>
>>59098306
SeaMonkey
>>
>>59098340
I thought Seamonkey broke on a lot of pages and was Placebo tier...
>>
>>59098354
It uses the same engine as Firefox and is better than Firefox ever will be.
>>
>>59097859
its shit, last time i used that i couldn't remove addons because it was crashing on that screen
>>
>>59098373
I hope so, there are some porn sites that don't work with Firefox. Hopefully they work better in Seamonkey. Will try it out, thanks.
>>
>>59098397
If they don't work in Firefox I'd imagine they won't work in SeaMonkey.
>>
>>59098405
So you are telling me I need the botnet?!?
>>
>>59098392
Never crashed for me...
>>
>>59098417
No, you may need a WebKit/Blink browser though
>>
>>59098428
Hi-ho. Hi-ho. It's back to Vivaldi I go.

>Vivaldi
>>
>>59098452
Well, what Webkit/Blink do I go to? I still am unsure why I even decided to download Seamonkey when I have zero idea how it is better than Firefox.
>>
>>59098475
That's not my problem, I don't keep up much on shit browsers but I can tell you that Vivaldi's the shittiest.
>>
>>59098486
Could I have some reasons? I am confused as to why SeaMonkey is even useful.
>>
>>59098539
It's a continuation of Netscape Communicator, the Internet is the one place where an application suite makes sense and now that Opera's dead it's the best choice.
>>
>>59098475
stop looking for a silver bullet and go back to what you are comfortable with
>>
>>59098571
But... I like Vivaldi. That is the problem. /g/ said it was bad and to use Waterfox. Now /g/ says to use Netscape. I don't want my email connecting up to my internet browser, I like keeping my processes separate.
>>
>>59098626
Nobody said to use Netscape, dumbass.
>>
>>59098656
I got confused between Netscape and Seamonkey. Sorry. They remind me of each other.
>>
>>59098678
They should, SeaMonkey essentially is Netscape Communicator.
>>
>>59098626
I use Waterfox. Test them all and find what works good.
>>
>>59098693
Suddenly I see a reason to use this, for this is one step closer to living in a bubble in the 1990s before all this software became a botnet.
>>
>>59098731
At least browsers are free, eh?

Why do you have to be a retard?

Nightly is where the newest shit hits months before stable. It is literally the opposite of placebo.

Waterfox on the other hand is "Hur dur compiled under a full moon with a child sacrifice for the fox gods to make it faster".
>>
>>59098898
Nightly has telemetry though, hasn't it? Dunno if you can turn it off.
>>
>>59098898
Wouldn't Nightly, being a alpha, be highly unstable? I have used Opera Alphas in the past, but I learned to not trust them and just use the stable branch when one release pretty much made it impossible to launch the program, meaning I had to install a stable branch from a flash drive.
>>
>>59099070
It doesn't, you're talking about firefox (((developer))) edition.
>>
Faggot's
You need to use kazehakase
>>
>>59098142
Vivaldi is a botnet tier, we've figured it out in one of the previous threads.
>>
>>59099201
Every time I see you posting I know without reading it will be retarded. And it is.
>>
>>59099201

>>

>votnet

U vot m8?
>>
>>59097859
Thanks, OP.
But I guess I'm fine with Iridium for now.
>>
>>59099394
V and B sound the same in many languages, that's the funny part
>>
>>59097859
Are you implying that Waterfox will still support old add-ons when Firefox moves away to WebExtensions?
>>
>>59098787
>Waterfox placebo
>Nightly isn't
>>
>>59100317
Nightly has better support of multiprocess tabs.
>>
>>59097859

it's made by a child, and might be watching me fap.
>>
>>59097897
>quoting 2012 metrics in 2017
it's like you want to lose
>>
>>59099070
>>59099172
Nightly has telemetry. You can disable it in about:config / user.js / compiling with certain flags

>>59099122
I've been using nightly for a few years now, it's very stable.
>>
Is iridium actually good or is it just a meme?
>>
My pc that has palemoon on it doesn't have a working internet connection.
Does it have that same useless search toolbar I can't figure out how to get rid of on firefox?
>>
>>59098142
/g newfag here, what are the first two? (next to waterfox)
>>
Isn't the only difference between them the fact that Waterfox was 64 bit back in 2012, while Firefox was always 32 bit, and then that gave Waterfox better performance back then? Today they're both the same
>>
>>59102532
Do you happen to know what to disable through about:config? For now I have these all set to false:
dom.enable_performance
datareporting.healthreport.service.enabled
datareporting.healthreport.uploadEnabled
toolkit.telemetry.enabled
toolkit.telemetry.unified

But maybe I missed something.
Damn you /g/ for making me even more paranoid.

Anyway, I installed and am currently trying Nightly. Seems nice so far. I like the multi-processes thing.
>>
>>59097859
It's shit. I use Chromium
>>
Can we just ban the waterfox posters now?
They're definitely just paid shills because there is literally no reason to use it, and their only argument is that nightly is a placebo (which it isn't).
>>
I do use it, but you exaggerate its quality. I wouldn't call it blazing fast. In fact, I get a lot of scroll lag and startup is quite slow. I need to close the browser and open it up again at least once a day or the scroll lag gets really bad.
>>
>>59102965
i don't know about the left one but the one in the middle is palemoon
>>
>>59097859
Why would I?
Using a firefox that is not in the repo is just not worth it.
I don't care enough about browsers to compile it once a week.
>>
>>59097859
>6,000,000 downloads and counting
oy vey it's like annuda shoah
>>
>>59097859
life isn't made to live fast. sometimes it's nice to have a browser that slows things down and gives you time to ponder what's up. Netscape fo lyfe nigga
