C has certain niches, like low-level OS programming, embedded spaces, fast math libraries, etc.

C++ has some shrinking use cases like for monolithic desktop applications.

But for what most people, and certainly most /g/tards, are doing, you need memory management. Or not. You know, if you don't fucking care about your program being having long-lived processes, or security, etc.

Better languages are easier to implement. Even for ultra low-power embedded systems where you don't need thread or memory safety due to the lack of em, better, more specialized languages exist.
