Is there any software that actually simulates wet painting, like acrylic painting? You know like interaction with wet paint, drying the paint out, realistic color mixing, possibly some physics simulation running in the background to achieve all this?

Corel Painter is the closest I think.
Corel painter has an engine for rudimentary simulation of paint mediums, up to settings of paper type affecting spread and drips. Still cluncky looking and slow for my tastes.
