Let's talk about bookmarks.
Do you still use them?
How do you manage them?
What sites make it to your bookmark bar/start page?
Yes.
Chrome Sync. Favicons on bookmark bar.
Sever applications, some Google services (Inbox, Calendar, etc.), le reddit, /g/, neogaf, Android Police, banking/shopping sites, mixtape.moe and a folder of work stuff.
>install firefox
>import bookmarks
>all favicons disappear
>bookmark bar now useless
I do

Can't you just click on each one once to let it load and populate the icon?
>>59049919
absolutely, but it's dumb
>>59049983
Why would Firefox make connections to those bookmarks by itself? Do you know how favicons work? If you want to download them just ctrl+shift+o, rightclick the folder and open all in tabs.
>>59050014
favicons should be saved as part of the import/export operation for bookmarks.
i'm well aware how to open a folder in tabs. the point is that it shouldn't be necessary to open 500 tabs to get favicons for all my bookmarks on a fresh install
>>59050073
They are stored in Chome sync. :^)

>Do you still use them?
Yes
>How do you manage them?
With folders
>>59050073
This. A simple base64 would suffice. Why is it not implemented yet?
>>59049676
Hey, I have 6550 bookmarks :^)
>>59052217
Holy shit anon, great job.

My co workers are running mint and it looks like absolute shit. I am on a shitty mac mini that i liked at first but it is too slow for what i do and needs to restarted every 2 days or it gets slow as ass. Really no excuse considering they probably paid about a grand for it
>>59052287
I bet they can at least post in the right threads. :^)
I just use bookmarks as a reminder and then when I change / break browser I start again
nope. rss made it obsolete.
