have you ever wanted to use linux but couldn't get into it because you had a ton of programs already installed and in use on one system?
that's the most debilitating factor for me here.

Have you ever wanted to install linux but then end up spending the entire night trying to get java to work in firefox?

How many layers of abstraction are you on?

Quite a list. Rather than imply that you don't need any of it I'm gonna try and be constructive here.
Some software can be used on Linux but not all. And a lot of the stuff there isn't exactly multiplatform. In that case I would suggest trying out Linux in some virtual machine software like Virtualbox to see if you like it and want to put the effort in.
I found I could work very well within Linux and use a Windows virtual machine for what little software I did need, but that's not the case for all.
Happy hunting.

either a well thought out linux simply sucks b8 or it just happened
... regardless ... you can't use Linux ever. Just run it in a VM and play around with the terminal for that hacker feel

i can't run a vm everytime i try to use one it gives me segfault errors.
>>59039537
then just put it on a usb stick and try it out
no installation needed ... just werks
the software you use is dependent on windows/mac so theres no point in using any linux distro into your main system
just learn it somehow by using it somehow .. fix your VM issue
use VMWARE
