"Organic" seeds, although cheaper and reusable, have such an inferior yield, even if it was aceptable decades ago, that in many cases they are simply not profitable. genes splicing in a lab is a different thing to grafting or selective breeding naturally. You can't build up resistances to highly toxic chemicals naturally.
