It's 9:30 and my internet slows to a dead crawl. My ISP won't fix the problem and have no desire to, and they blame me. What can I do to fix it on my end. No other computers are running nor tablets and phones.

Depending on location if in apartment find distribution block outside and smash and cut feed wire
If single residence house find box on street or on pole damage in similar manner
Company will have to come out and fix issue
Either this will fix it right away or give you excuse that "They were just out here and made it worse" come fix it again
>>59027980
i'm pretty sure this is illegal
>>59025642
Your ISP will never admit it's their fault and when they do, they will find a problem that is on your end cause they don't want to admit there's anything wrong with their internet and think they are a god
>>59027980
IF you can get away with it, do it anon. Mostly cause a lot of companies are jewy as fuck and wont replace something unless it needs replacing.
"If it's not broke, don't fix it"
>>59025642
Wow, not even in our 3rd world country we have that shitty speed. You do actually pay for this?
Is there any other ISP?
>>59027980
I watch Maron too
Umad?
>>59025642
Sometimes feels good to live in an unpopulated, third world shithole.
That's sad, I work as a thd and most of the people in my country make contracts for 500/1000mbps and they cry about getting only 100mbps (limited network cards)
It's scary Terry bitch.
>>59028348
No other ISP aside from Satellite internet
>>59030255
>No other ISP
That's illegal in civilised nations.

I thought your upload was your ping
Kek
>>59025642
OP lives on ISS and is pretending that the ping isnt normal.
is this a speed thread
>>59032811
Maybe?
>>59025642
If they say it isn't their fault it usually means it isn't. Your cable being cut the fuck down counts as "their fault" because they can monitor it. "Not their fault" means precisely "there are no problems to be seen in your area"
If you're running Windows you can try some regular steps:
1) Restarting PC;
2) Turning off your antivirus soft;
a) if you are using a router - try connecting directly
b) If that isn't possible - try rebooting your router (power it off for like a minute or two, then power it on again).
3) If nothing of the above had worked, open cmd, reset your routes and ipv4 protocol - sometimes it helps.route -f
netsh interface ipv4 reset r
If all of the above didn't help - you should really check it on another device and if it doesn't work (and the problem is not in your router) - sue the faggots.

Take them to court for throttling your internet and violating Net Neutrality.
>>59032966
I've done all that, and I am connected directly to the router. It always throttles bad during peak hours, but even then I don't get the 6 megs I pay for, 2 megs tops.
>>59033764
Net Neutrality is socialism, buddy. I don't want everyone to be stuck on dial up because socialists think everyone should have the same speeds, ie neutral internet.
>>59034083
Does anyone else around you report an issue with speed? You should ask

My Area still has dialup service. For $20 a month, too.

They don't have good internet service over there? We folks in jacktown have comcast
>>59025642
:^)
>>59035671
In my area. i have dialup, FIOS, comcast, or centurylink. And that's it. Comcast is the fastest for the price so that's what i have, but i would really like fiber or anything else to come over here.

6ms is decent?
3rd worlder reporting
Have you tried turning it off and on again ?
Have you tried a different WiFi channel?
>>59034083
>It always throttles bad during peak hours
That's a common thing for a provider who has too little bandwidth for too many peoples.
Can't really help here much and can only suggest switching away from it but as I can see it isn't really an option.
However by "directly" I meant "connect without using your router". You might want to try it anyway.
>>59038839
The router is a modem/router combo and I use that.
