So, is there any madman on /g/ who actually uses ayyyymd gpu and cpu in his desktop? How is it surviving a trial of time?
After Ryzen comes out, like 40% of /g/ will have dual AMD/AMD setups.
It's difficult to not become excited.
It's not.
My 8 year old ATI GPU is still being used and gas given me no problems (that weren't driver-related and relatively easy to fix). And I still push it pretty heavily.
Fx-6300 and a R9-290
Playing battlefield 1 on high graphic settings, getting around 50~60 fps. seriously don't know why Intel people keep upgrading every year

I'm using a Phenom II X3 720 (with the fourth core unlocked) and a 290X right now after selling my 6700K and board this week in preparation for Ryzen. Literally no difference for desktop use or light gaymen, except for having to use a mechanical hard drive because this old board won't boot my Windows installation on my SSD.

a8-7600 xfire with a r7 250
its not so great.
I have an HD 7950 and AMD Phenom II X6 1055 T. I can overclock the Phenom to 4.0 GHz easy. Both the card and cpu are over 4-5 years old.
I don't play demanding games but CS:GO, Civ V, Civ VI, BF4 all run at max settings 1080p.
