He probably didnt deleted the X partition of his driver so it will boot just fine, problem is when he removes or change anything on the old HD he is basically fucked.

1. Clone your Windows partition onto the SSD with Acronis or w/e (leave 10-20% unpartitioned for better performance)
2. Do the recommended SSD tweaks like disabling superfetch and defrag (Win7 and above should automatically detect a SSD and cancel defragging, but better delete it from the scheduler just in case)
