Sandisk have a hybrid which can connect to type C and type A via a slider that switches connection, just search on Amazon

Next generation my ass. I am going to buy longest lasting storage and computing devices with type c ports, download as much entertainment and programming books as I can and cut off the fiber from my house. Its the last bastion of privacy, being offline.
I wouldn't put anything personal on it but isn't this just an off the shelf pirate box? Anyone know the range on these things?
