I've got another question regarding intel's architecture.

I've needed some extra power to render some files on my i7 3610QM.

It has turbo boost to 3.2 but for temp reasons it downclocks to 2.25 after a little stress, even if the temp is not that high for a laptop.

So I took throttlestop and bumped the multipler to 29 so now its around 3GHz.

Temp is 85C. Is it high enough to burn it or to cause any damage? I didn't bump the voltage.

Everything is so fast now, I can multitask etc.

I have a sandy bridge 2670qm laptop from 2012. Can't fault the fucker aside from it being a brick of a laptop compared to ultrabooks these days so am thinking about up(sideways)-grading...
