It would be if you wouldn't compromise on the battery life and stability.
The Touch Bar Model has a smaller battery, a CPU with a much higher TDP and the Bar is just a gimmick that you will find no use for.
Don't waste your money, either get the one w/o TB or get an older MacBook Pro.
