any advice in configuring your PCs into a workstation?
It's time I double down and get my projects off the idea board/PoC design stage
I'm limited in my work laptop, and having a dedicated tower just for work stuff is too much at the moment...
how do you guys configure your battlestations into home workstations?

1. ensure vt-d on processor and excess RAM.
2. if on linux install kvm and virt-manager, if on windows install virtualbox
3. boot ISO VM machine with linux server to test your stuff on.
Also work laptop can be temporarily converted using liveDVD and USB key for persistent storage or liveUSB or whatever without messing with existing installation.
without software named nothing more can really be said.
