I took a leap of faith and used reaver.
It turns out 2 routers in my building are the exact same model as mine which are generic Chinese TP link.
Got the PINs on both of them and I bridge their connections to my apartment with a regular router.
I have permanent presence on the routers and even fix their internet issues when I the ISP fucks up.
Downloading shit starts at ~1AM every night and ends at ~7AM,I usually pull 20 GB per night.

I was thinking of getting some sort of antenna but don't know how good of a range they have.

Are those US dollars or zimbabwean dollars?
>>58959765
Yes you need good reception for an attack,I actually spend a lot of time wondering if I was doing something wrong and boiled down to bad signal, but eventually worked out.
I recommend you to find and download a book called Offensive Security - Wireless Attacks ( WiFu) v2.0.
It covers the gear required, most attacks and DIY solutions.
Also an app called Wifi Analyzer so you can track networks better and get best results.

they keep raising the price because I won't change to a new package
the new ones are much better and even cheaper, but you have to sign a 2 yr contract and I'm afraid of commitments
>5 bucks
>Constantly getting around 60-70 Mbps
I'd buy better but wifi is capped at 50 something by wpa2 wep security
living in a house with several other apartments, we share a 1000mbps connection
about 3 euros for 11MB/s when downloading
>>58959833
Thanks! Any antennas that you recommend though? On Amazon I don't see any good ones.

Normally it would be 30€/mo if it wasn't for an agreement between the apartment owner and the ISP. Also first 3 months are free, still haven't paid anything.

Where the fuck in the US do you live that internet is $412 per month?
>>58961061
a place that extorts dumb college kids for money. $412 is split between 30 people who all live in the same house as me so it's not really terrible for us, but this thread has been eye-opening
