Got an S7 back in march of 2016. Kinda realized how constrictive it can be. (Nowhere near as bad as iPhone, which I had since 2011.) Regardless, rooting is a bitch/impossible, and just generally fucking with the ROM or what have you is a bitch with the flagship phones.
My friend, who's a biiiiig tech nerd software engineer has a OnePlus 3 and I really liked it. I'm open to other options though. Is getting a China phone the best option? To me, it seems cheap, powerful, flexible, and just better overall. Which phones do you guys recommend? (Doesn't have to be China, I've just noticed they're cheap for how powerful they are.)
nexus 5x and copperheados

One plus 3t/3 is the only chink phone I'd recommend, others are trash

For sure. As far as domestic what do you recommend? Pixel seems cool, but a) expensive b) I feel like it's going for an iphone ideal, which is what I'm trying to avoid, lol. Nexus 5x is kinda cool, but it seems a little underwhelming hardware wise? I could be wrong, still learning.

Xiaomi phones are better desu

5x Will bootloop and the battery is utter crap
The pixel is the iPhone from Android and it's not worth the price IMO I don't spent more than 500 USD on a phone
The 3t is neat and comes with oxygen os which is kinda stock-ish Android but don't come with malware like other chinkphones

>rooting is a bitch/impossible
Are you retarded?

Xiaomi is cool if you want the best price/performance ratio. I bought a Redmi Note 3 Pro 10 months ago, and really had no problems. You can even install cyanogenmod, which I did. Just go for the Snapdragon models.

I've been doing this since October. I'm probably going to get cucked by the bootloop problem eventually tho
Obviously one should compile from source so you control the keys
