Why does this qos shit in routers never fucking actually WORK.

use DDWRT and set QoS Queing Discipline to FQ_CODEL.

and make sure bufferbloat is atleast Grade A.

CODEL isnt QOS. It does one job and that is managing send buffers.

Which it doesnt even do as well as just hard limiting your line to 90% of its real capacity.

I have working QoS for outbound traffic with wrt54gs v1@tomato shibby.

However it's not really practical since just torrenting over 12/2 connection completely chokes cpu of this over decade old router.

I've heard that inbound QoS is now kinda possible with dropping acks. Any info on that?
