I can't even explain my discomfort. It's 4am and I'm here since 5 hours.
I have a kingston dt r3.0 g2 usb key, probably corrupted in some way messing up with partitions, I don't have many information. I can't find it on win nor in osx, but linux show me pic related. Obviously i'm talking about the selected drive.
Can someone help me to restore it?

This in terminal:
echo "for n in `seq 7`; do dd if=/dev/urandom of=/dev/sdc bs=8b conv=notrunc; done" > drivefix.sh && sudo bash drivefix.sh

Why can't you just delete everything?

This looks like a terrible idea. I'll ask about it to a friend of mine and then come back.
Your memory chip is fried but your bridge is still functional. It's like having an external disc drive with no disc in it. Useless piece of shit now.

If you want a real answer, you should use testdisk.
Run `testdisk /dev/sd*` select your drive and then hit analyze. Let it analyze and find your partitions. In the next screen make sure you got all your partitions and then hit enter and then hit write. Confirm with yes. That should fix the corrupt partition table. Plug in plug out and see if your disk is recognized.

Stop this.

Nope, even testdisk can't find my drive. "no medium found"

I've a bad feeling about this.
It should never be listed as "PRAM" so as noted earlier the controller chip is now dead, hence the stick is dead, there is zero chance of recovery or functionality so toss it and get a replacement.
Stop fucking around and deal with it.

Got it, thanks.
Just a question, do you think this could be happened messing up with partition, i mean moving partitions with gparted, or it's an hardware project?
thanks!

Its just coincidental. Your memory chip is fried.

Thanks you so much. I will go to claim my warranty. =)

>tfw you have gnu+autism and instantly recognize what this does
>>58928329
Care to explain? Just randomly curious here
>>58928329
>tfw you dont even have autism but you can read simple bash commands and still know what it does

Wipes the drive with random data

Amazon will send me a replacement and I bought this device in march 2015.
I'm happy, but it's the second kingston broken in 3 years that both are a rubber case. I never had any problem with other kingston drives with a rigid case.
Just coincidences?

You should start fighting your discomfort by installing xfce. This would make you much more comfy and relaxed.
Than you wouldn't need to ask someone on /g/

Theres a specific model of sandisk 8gb drives that I have had constantly fail in the same way, and are just cheap throwaway flash drives. But my large Taiwanese flashdrive doesn't have any problems.
