Hello /g/, sorry if this is an incredibly dumb question. I'm considering upgrading to one of the gtx 10 series, however as they don't support analog signals natively anymore, I'm looking for something that will allow me to keep using my secondary crt monitor. I'm aware there are converters that can accomplish this, but all of the ones I have seen only claim to support up to 1920x1200 after conversion. So my question is, are there any digital to analog converters that will support higher than 1920x1200? ideally 2560x1600 is what I'd like.
Ooh I'm a faggot that just needs to use a crt. What's it like constantly sucking /g/s cock fag.
good job man way to fuck up your eyes with crt, just grab a 2nd hand monitor with DVI they go really cheap

I think you need a card with a dual link DVI-I port(or DVI-A but that's an odd one you don't see much anymore) and a passive VGA adapter

That's what I thought at first as well, but it seems they removed dvi-i entirely in favor of just dvi-d

why not just buy a new monitor? CRT has horrible colors, makes your eyes feel like shit and its obsolete, just get a cheap monitor

I think they sold DVI CRTs for a short time with the analog converter onboard

I suppose I will if I have to, or else simply run it at a lower res just to keep it, I don't really use it for extended periods of time in comparison to my main monitor, so as far as eye strain goes I haven't noticed any discomfort in years. It was just a matter of being able to acquire a cheap method to continue using it, as I do rather like the look of it.
>he fell for the crt meme
ayy el mao

You could pick up a displayport to DVI/VGA adapter on Amazon for next to nothing.
VGA (analog in general) looks blurry as shit at anything over 720p. In fact I'm pretty sure 1920 x 1200 is the max you can reliably send over VGA anyway.

that's impressive girth you have there but you should really consider shaving it...
why not just run a separate gpu alongside it?
unless youre gaming on this crt or something, you can always just pick up a cheap radeon hd 3450 or something that has s-video out so you can power the crt
and then have the gtx 10xx running a proper newer monitor for gaming
i did something like this for a while, where i had a 980ti sli powering one 4k monitor, and a 1gb gt 710 for just powering a spare monitor to shitpost
