It will come out at some point and it will certainly be better than pascal just like the jump from maxwell to pascal. I'm guessing teasers will come at the end of 2017 and we'll get a release in the first 1/3 of 2018

Unless you're trying to do 4k gaming I can't imagine any world where you actually need sli 980ti's. Just pull one out and sell it. Save the shillings for a Titan xp or something.
