Why are there so many Arch Linux shills on /g/ when Arch is absolute dog shit compared to Suse/Ubuntu/Fedora

Arch is a distro geared towards developers and power-users who know their operating system. Using it in an enterprise environment is stupid.
>>
Arch is for normies who want to be edgy.

Stop using Arch.

It's pretty good compared to these desu. My first time working with SUSE was a shock. Installing apache also automatically started it. Why would I want to start services I haven't configured? Never used Ubuntu, but Debian did the same thing with some services, but not with others. Never saw the point in Fedora, but have tried CentOS and it was alright.
For desktop use Arch is perfectly reasonable and behaves pretty much like you'd expect as they try to keep it as vanilla as possible with intiramfs being the obvious exception.

I use it in an enterprise environment. Why shouldn't I?

That was about 3 years ago, a vps provider called digitalocean terminated arch as a choice because too many turbo spergs felt they needed to install it, failed at installing it, then would just complain and shit up their support and forums.

Quite possibly the best example of arch being suicide for business, in every other case nobody would even offer it in the first place. They were offering it just as an afterthought and had to cancel it because it was wasting their time.

Arch spergs are still crying about it, if they actually knew cat shit about linux like they consistently bleat on like they do, they would know you can just chroot into another distro and pass everything through to it. This is basically what happens when special snowflakeism seeps down into technology and business.

Because AUR is great... if it's compile.
>>
>>58903030
using the word "normies" is for plebs who want to be edgy
>>
>>58902848
Arch has been shilled since the dawn of /g/. While your assertion that Suse/Ubuntu/Fedora are better is the very definition of subjective reasoning Arch is definitely one of the most versatile distros around, surpassed only by Gentoo. Choice is something /g/ has always embraced, even if we do share different opinions.

Lmao.
>>
>>58902848
>fall for arch linux meme
>everything behaves exactly as I expect it to
>has great documentation for nearly anything I might want to configure
>has great package manager
>AUR has almost every desktop application and library I could possibly want to install
>ABS makes it a breeze to patch installed packages

I honestly don't understand why so many people hate it. After trying a couple dozen other distros, I find Arch Linux to be the best for almost every use case (including servers and on my work laptop)
>>
>>58903493

Wew. How can they ever recover!
>>
>>58903493
>you can just chroot into another distro and pass everything through to it
You should not be doing that. Software built with different libraries and/or library versions can give you all sorts of glitches that you won't be able to troubleshoot.

Because it just werks, deal with it fgt :v Best distro out there.
>>
>>58903102
And if I'm fine with systemd because I can just adapt to the init system a distro provides out of the box, what then? Granted I'm trying out OpenBSD right now on a secondary laptop I just bought (X220) and I'm already liking how much of a breeze configuring /etc/rc.conf.local is, so I guess I'll bite and ask how OpenRC is compared to it and systemd. Dunno if it'll make giving up the AUR and switching to Gentoo or another OpenRC distro worth it, but it'll be nice to know about it at least.

Yeah m8 but if you're a true arch sperg you welcome failures because you are a failure yourself and you're supposed to step up to this because it's a challenge
