its a good idea if your into encryption or physics programming.

math will only make you a better programmer if you have a reason to use it.

If you do html programming or the like, dont bother unless if you just enjoy mathematics

it will help with encryption concepts. it will help with logical reasoning. but it won't really help you THAT much honestly. you should never roll your own encryption service unless you have a phd in encryption. and you should also keep your logic simple enough that you don't need advanced concepts.
