More and more people who don't have a passion or don't know shit about get into CS. What gives? Is it the premise of making good money? They literally know nothing about this field.

I knew nothing about computers and had never programmed before I started studying CS back in 2006. I'm currently doing my PhD and I have work experience as an embedded developer (so clearly I'm not in it for the money).
What's your fucking problem? Do you think literature majors have a deep passion for literature?
